On May 28 and 29, the TecnoCampus hosted the third edition of its flagship gathering for startups and investors: the StartupMat Tech Summit 2025., an event marked this year by a significant rebranding and organizational change. The organizing entity officially presented its new identity: StartupMat.
The event, held in the foyer and auditorium spaces of the TecnoCampus Congress Centre, has consolidated Mataró as a benchmark for technological entrepreneurship in Catalonia and Spain. With over 400 attendees, the Summit brought together prominent leaders from the entrepreneurial ecosystem, investors, and technology experts.
Among the most notable speakers were: Mathieu Carenzo, Romuald Fons, Àlex Rodríguez, Julieta Rueff, Gemma Cernuda, and Núria Salán. The theme of this edition, “Top Referents” emphasized the importance of learning from those who have already walked the entrepreneurial path.
The program included over 20 conferences, interactive workshops, networking spaces, and working areas. In addition to the rebranding, this edition introduced three key innovations: the creation of a dedicated workshop area, a space for live multimedia streaming, and the live recording of a podcast produced by a national broadcaster.
One of the highlights was the Pitch Battle., where five startups presented their projects to a specialized jury. The winner was Secrets Vault, which has developed cryptographic software to replace traditional passwords with an image-based access system. Other notable projects included Apolo Cybersecurity, focused on comprehensive digital protection services, and Biel Glasses, smart glasses with artificial intelligence designed for people with visual impairments.
The StartupMat Tech Summit 2025 showcased TecnoCampus’s commitment to innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship, reinforcing its position as a leading hub in the Maresme region.
