The TecnoCampus Conference Centre hosted the annual summer scientific conference of the EANS (European Academy of Nursing Science) on July 9 and 10, as part of the EANS Summer School — an international three-year training programme aimed at PhD students in nursing science, held from June 30 to July 11.
This high-level scientific meeting gathered participants from all over Europe to explore topics such as public health research, ethics, and technologies applied to clinical practice, through keynote lectures, workshops, presentations, networking sessions, and poster exhibitions.
Under the theme “Mental health and well-being: the role of nursing in addressing global challenges,” the conference focused on one of today’s major public health issues and helped to highlight nursing research driven from Catalonia, reinforcing the region’s leadership in the European context.
Led by Esther Cabrera, coordinator of the GRACIS research group and director of the TecnoCampus Chair of Ageing and Quality of Life, the initiative involved a large organising team made up of lecturers and researchers from the university’s nursing degree programme.
By hosting this event, TecnoCampus strengthens its commitment to applied research, the international projection of health knowledge, and the positioning of Mataró as a vibrant university and scientific city.
